Key finding

The highest modeled result is Hawaii at $73.06. Every row uses the same model so the price or equipment assumption is the changing variable.

Methodology

  • The model uses 1,500 watts, four hours per day, and a 30-day month.
  • Thermostat cycling can reduce actual energy below the full-power estimate.
  • State prices are averages and do not include every fixed charge or rate-plan detail.
